What is Grizzlies Lacrosse?
Grizzlies Lacrosse, which is a LLC, has been an off-season training and playing option for the Bartram Trail HS Girls Varsity Lacrosse team for several years under the tutelage of former Bartram Trail Head Coach Meg Jackowiak and Assistant Coach Joe Fanning.
In 2018, Meg Jackowiak and Joe Fanning launched a recreational Youth Program for 3rd through 8th grade girls through Grizzlies for girls in and around the BTHS zoned area. Grizzlies youth teams, now K-8th grade, play in the North East Florida Girls Youth Lacrosse League (NEFGYLL) during the Spring. Grizzlies is the main feeder program for Bartram Trail HS, and also feed heavily into Beachside High School and a little bit of Tocoi HS. The Grizzlies youth program is a main reason for Bartram Trail HS girls lacrosse success over the years, including their recent State championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. It also has helped programs like Beachside and Tocoi to continue to grow. Our goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment for our players.

The Grizzlies Youth Program focuses on building positive team chemistry from the recreation level up and making all our youth players feel like they are already a part of our lacrosse family. Instead of parental coaches, we are hire female coaches who have all played the game and whom we believe will be excellent role models for our Grizzlies youth players. Our coaches make it fun while honoring the game and teaching it in the proper manner. Our Grizzlies HS program allows the Bartram Trail HS players to continue to practice, train and grow together in the summer and fall off seasons.

Becoming a 2026 Sponsor for Grizzlies Lacrosse is an excellent opportunity for businesses to get exposure while supporting the local community lacrosse program. The Grizzlies Youth Program is designed to be affordable. We are therefore looking for sponsors who share our goals and dreams for our Grizzlies players and want to help provide the best opportunities for them. Sponsors will help us continue to grow the sport, develop players, and enhance the experience for our players. Grizzlies sponsors are exceptionally important to the success of our program which will grow the sport in our area and continue to build strong HS programs in our area as well including Bartram Trail, Beachside and Tocoi Creek. It helps us with equipment expenses (ex: new cages, new balls and goalie equipment), field expenses, tents, field maintenance expenses, dry fit shirt expenses for all players and coaches and allows us to keep multiple paid coaches per team, all who work very hard and go above and beyond to give the absolute best opportunities for our youth girls. It also allows us to provide scholarship opportunities for families in need. Advertiser banners will appear on our Grizzlies tents that are set up at every event our youth and HS teams go to, including the local spring youth league and the local fall high school league that we help manage. Grizzlies youth teams play in the North East Florida Girls Youth Lacrosse League which plays on Sundays from the end of February all through the end of April. Grizzlies High School and Middle School aged teams play in numerous summer tournaments and in a fall ball league as well as fall tournaments. We are a good and well recognized successful year round program that offers year round exposure to our Advertisers. We will also advertise our sponsors on our website, as well as our Facebook and Instagram social media pages. We appreciate the help and support of our Grizzlies families.
